Introduction
As of March 18th, 2021, WWE Network is officially moving to Peacock, NBCUniversal’s streaming service. This follows the recent trend of companies consolidating their streaming services in order to compete with the likes of Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and Disney+.
WWE Network has been around since February 2014 and has been a key part of WWE’s recent success. The move to Peacock will no doubt be a positive one for both WWE and NBCUniversal, but it does leave some fans wonder: when is WWE Network moving to Peacock?
The answer is that the transition will happen gradually over the course of several months. Starting on March 18th, 2021, new subscribers will be able to sign up for Peacock Premium in order to watch WWE Network. Current subscribers will be able to continue watching WWE Network on its current platform until August 31st, 2021. On September 1st, 2021, all content from WWE Network will move exclusively to Peacock.
This gradual transition should allow for a smooth transition for both current and new subscribers. And with Peacock Premium starting at just $4.99/month, there’s never been a better time to be a fan of WWE!

Why is WWE Network moving to Peacock?
As of March 18, 2021, WWE Network will no longer be available as a standalone streaming service. Instead, it will become an optional premium tier within NBCUniversal’s Peacock streaming service.
WWE Network first launched in February 2014 as a live-streaming and on-demand platform for professional wrestling content. It has since evolved to become one of the most popular streaming services among professional wrestling fans, with a library of more than 10,000 hours of content.
The move to Peacock will give WWE Network subscribers access to a much larger library of content, as well as some exclusive features that are not available on the standalone WWE Network platform.
Some of the most popular WWE Network shows, such as WrestleMania and Royal Rumble, will still be available on the Peacock premium tier. However, other shows such as NXT and Monday Night Raw will only be available on the basic Peacock subscription.
NBCUniversal says that the move will help make WWE content more accessible to a wider audience. “WWE has one of the most passionate and engaged fan bases in all of entertainment, and we are thrilled to bring WWE Network and its wealth of iconic programming to Peacock,” said Rick Cordella, Executive Vice President and Chief Revenue Officer at NBCUniversal Digital Enterprises.
The transition from WWE Network to Peacock is scheduled to begin on March 18, 2021.

What do I need to do to prepare for the transition?
As we announced in October, WWE Network will become part of Peacock on March 18. If you’re a current WWE Network subscriber, you don’t need to do anything to keep watching – your subscription will move over automatically and you’ll retain all the benefits you currently enjoy, like uncut and commercial-free RAW and SmackDown episodes, PPVs, original series, and more. You’ll just need to sign in to Peacock with the same email and password you use for WWE Network to keep watching.
For new or lapsed subscribers, you can sign up for Peacock at peacocktv.com starting on March 18. Peacock offers two subscription tiers: a free tier with some content available with ads, and an ad-free premium tier for $4.99/month. Both tiers include all of WWE Network’s programming.
With this move, we’re giving fans more choice in how they watch WWE content. And there’s never been a better time to join WWE Network – in addition to everything that’s already available, we have new original series premiering this year, like The Big Event and Chronicle: Elite, plus daily highlights shows hosted by Charly Caruso and Paige. Plus, every WrestleMania ever is now available on demand – so there’s always something new to watch!
