Kajan opens up about his departure from the UFC and forays into free agency.
He eyes future fights with Josh Thomson, Ben Henderson and Patricky Freire. The hosts also talk about their different experiences with weed and the highly-anticipated UFC 229 headliner: Khabib Nurmagomedov vs Conor McGregor.
Kajan Johnson: “I’m starting to realize how many opportunities there are outside of the UFC. There are a lot cool things going on in MMA. Bellator is very promising, people are making money and there are people I want to fight there. Benson Henderson is there, Josh Thomson is there.”
Kajan Johnson: “We’ve talked to Bellator and they have said that provided they do a Canadian show, they are very interested in having me. They are possibly looking at doing something in Canada in the New Year and if that happens then we’ll probably sign.”
Shakiel Mahjouri: “Is Gegard Mousasi arguably the best middleweight in the world after beating Rory MacDonald so decisively? He left the UFC with a pretty impressive win streak and no one has ever beat MacDonald that badly.”
Kajan Johnson: “I don’t think you can say he is the best middleweight in the World considering the size advantage over MacDonald. He is definitely a top five middleweight.”
Kajan Johnson: “Having your face broken is the worst kind of pain. It is super acute and almost hot. It is a very sharp pain.”
Shakiel Mahjouri: “Conor McGregor vs. Khabib Nurmagomedov. Do you think it is as obvious an outcome as people are saying.”
Kajan Johnson: “No, but my heart is telling me Khabib is going to win.”
Shakiel Mahjouri: “I think the first round will be very telling of how the rest of the fight plays out.”
